dc.description.abstract
The Higher Education Loans Board (Amendment) Bill, 2020 (National Assembly Bill No.29) by the Honorable Gideon Keter, MP was read a first time on Wednesday 9th June 2021 and committed to the Departmental Committee on Education and Research for consideration and reporting to the house, pursuant to Standing Order 127(1). The Bill seeks to amend the Higher Education Loans Board Act to waive the imposition of interest on the principal amount over loan advanced to the youth and persons with disabilities until such a time they have secured their first employment.
